Altered Perspective
Hey guys,
So, I had a conversation with someone yesterday that brought about this post. Someone told me that a Jehovah’s Witness is a Christian. Ummm…this is so INCORRECT!! A Jehovah’s Witness only believes a portion of what Christian’s believe. They do not believe in the Holy Trinity (God, the Father, Jesus, the Son, and the Holy Spirit), and they believe that the only thing God created was Jesus. They also believe that Hell does not exist, and that we do not have an eternal spirit. They also believe that in order to receive salvation, one must be baptized. There is so much of this that goes directly against the Bible, so there is NO WAY that a Jehovah’s Witness is a Christian. A Christian is one who follows Christ and ALL that he represents. Salvation takes place by the confession of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9-10). Whether or not an individual chooses to baptized, is totally up to them, and does not disqualify them from going to Heaven. Being baptized is simply the outward expression of what an individual does to show that they have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I could go on about this for days, but I will get off of my soap box for now…
SN (side note): this is NOT an attempt to bash anyone’s beliefs, but more of a correction of an altered (wrong) perspective that was presented to me.
